Privacy Policy
Effective: October 4, 2026
yawp (“the app”) is an iPhone app provided by Stems (“we”). The app does not collect any data.
Information we collect
None. The app does not collect your name, email address, usage data, location or contacts. There are no accounts, no analytics, no tracking and no advertising. The app makes no network requests of its own and does not communicate with our servers.
What stays on your device
The songs and sets you keep, your recorded takes, the voices you rest, the packs you own and your night-mode setting are stored only on your iPhone. Deleting the app removes all of it.
Microphone
The app uses the microphone only when you record into the chop lane, to capture two seconds that you then play as an instrument. The recording is held in memory while you play. It is not saved and never leaves your device.
Recording and sharing
The record button captures up to twenty seconds of the music the app is playing, not the microphone, and keeps it on your device. A song or a take leaves your device only when you share it yourself through the iOS share sheet; where it goes is up to you and the app you choose.
Purchases
Sound packs are purchased and paid for through Apple’s App Store. We never receive your payment information. The app asks the App Store which packs your Apple Account owns so it can unlock them; no other purchase service is used.
Children
The app collects no data from anyone, of any age.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and note the date of the update.
